Indonesia's Cesium-137 (Cs-137) Decontamination Task Force is accelerating cleanup operations in Cikande, Banten, relocating 91 residents from contaminated areas. Out of 22 factories affected by Cs-137 radiation, 21 have been decontaminated, with the process expected to finish by December. Radiation safety measures are being implemented, including health checks for relocated residents. The Task Force reported that five out of 12 contaminated locations have been fully decontaminated. Additionally, Indonesia plans to establish seven modern fertilizer plants, and the Indonesian Palm Oil Association raised production forecasts. Meanwhile, there are renewed calls for ASEAN to support transparency in Myanmar ahead of its elections, as the US maintains a significant tariff exemption for Malaysian exports.
